Prior to Registration:
Create a Profile/Account @ www.hiset.ets.org/test_takers on the HiSET website.
A personal active email account is required to receive test information, i.e. ETS Number

 

To Register for the Test You Need:
1.  Your ETS Number (sent to your personal e-mail account).


2.  A valid photo ID (i.e. Government-issued driver's licence, Passport, CA State ID card,

    Military ID card, Consular, or Adult School ID)


3. Cash or money order payment of $150.00 for first time testers, or $25.00 per test section

    to re-test. Make money orders payable to Harbor Occupational Center.


Note: There is NO ONLINE registration or payment option available in California.


You will need to complete the test answer documents (these will be provided to you when you come to HOC with your ETS Number).

 

Day of the Test:
1.  Arrive 30 minutes before the test time in the HOC Counseling office to check-in.


2.  Bring your valid photo ID and Test Admittance Ticket (provided to you upon test registration).


3.  Pick up you examinee badge and completed test answer documents.

 

4.  Testers under 18 years of age will require additional paperwork to be eligible to take the exam.

 

 

 

HiSET Test available in Spanish.

 

Participation in the Orientation and Registration is mandatory in order to schedule an appointment for the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).
